Hello! I am Barbara Cameron, and in 2019 my daughter began the process of auditioning for college dance programs. I was surprised to discover that there were very few resources available online to support that process. In the spring of 2020, I started a Facebook group called Dance Parents: College Edition, which has now expanded to three different groups and around 5,000 members. I started this website to organize and share the collective wisdom found in that group.

In addition to being a (former!) dance mom, I am a teacher, a science nerd, and a quilter. I am thankful for time with my family and friends and the chance to eat lots of good food. I am lucky to live on the edge of the woods in Durham, North Carolina, which I have called my home for over 30 years.
